Chenoa Farnsworth, MBA, is an independent business planning consultant serving Hawai'i businesses. Farnsworth specializes in business plan development, strategy, and organizational management. She has earned a reputation for providing valuable insight and analysis to business owners in all phases of the business life-cycle from start-up to expansion to sustainability.

Farnsworth's clients boast stronger revenue and sales as a result of working with her on long-range planning. Increased efficiency is another attribute of companies on her client list. Her track record is impressive. Winner of the first UH Business Plan Competition in 1999, Farnsworth has gone on to author many business plans for both start-up and existing ventures. Her varied clientele has raised over $30 million in start-up financing.

Her long list of satisfied clients include technology start-ups Get2Hawaii, Broadband iTV, and Firetide; established Hawaii businesses such as Hawaii Modular Space, Aloha Petroleum, and Tyrie Jenkins, M.D., Eye Care; and nonprofit groups such as Child and Family Service, KCAA Preschools, and Goodwill Industries of Hawaii.

Combining her knowledge of local business with a national perspective, Farnsworth returned to Hawai'i in 1997 to start her consulting business. Clients benefit from Farnsworth's national experience with the American Nurses Association (ANA) in Washington D.C. A top-level executive for ANA in the mid-nineties, Farnsworth engineered a major reorganization to deal with industry turmoil that affected the organization's fiscal viability. Prior to moving to Washington D.C., she was at the forefront of trends affecting Hawai'i holding key positions at the Hawai'i Department of Health and the Hawai'i State Legislature.

Following her mission of building Hawai'i's businesses and organizations, Farnsworth is a mentor to many local and national professionals. She has been tapped as a coach and judge for every UH Business Plan Competition since 2000. In addition, she has mentored participants in the highly competitive Wayne Brown Institute Investor's Choice venture capital conference. Featured as a local resource in Hawai'i's leading business publications, Hawaii Business and Pacific Business News, she has successfully honed her consulting for local start-ups and small to medium-sized businesses.

Farnsworth is a director on the Board of the Hawaii Women's Business Center, a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting women in business. She also sits on the Executive Committee of UH Angels, a private equity investment group. As a founding member of UH Angels, Farnsworth has played a critical role in reviewing and coaching businesses wishing to present to this group. She is founder of BrainGain, a network of up-and-coming entrepreneurs who are committed to living and succeeding in Hawai'i.
